By default, Dr.Web Industrial for Linux does not interfere with the operating system and only notifies the user of detected threats; this allows to use the anti-virus solution in an industrial infrastructure, in which emergency shutdown of machinery and outage are unacceptable. Main components (scan engine and virus databases) are not only highly effective and resource-sparing, but also cross-platform, which lets Doctor Web experts create reliable anti-virus solutions protecting computers running popular operating systems from threats that target various platforms. Currently, along with Dr.Web Industrial for Linux, Doctor Web offers other anti-virus solutions for UNIX-like operating systems (GNU/Linux and FreeBSD), macOS and Windows.
